Overview - Performance Measures and Metrics

The Performance Measures and Metrics (PMM) module enables you to analyze your PMM data quickly and easily. PMM data is generated from your existing database data and defined by PMM_DEFS table entries. This "snapshot" data is stored in the PMM_DATA table in accordance with frequencies defined in the PMM_DEFS table.

The module has two major parts: the MAXQueue interface generates PMM data through PMM definitions, and the user interface enables you to use the FA Web Dashboard module to define the format of PMM gauges and charts.

To capture PMM data through MAXQueue, you must first use the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Performance Measures and Metrics -> PMM Definition screen to activate the PMM snapshot definitions. Once a definition is activated, it is available for MAXQueue to collect the data points.

The information in the PMM data tables is used in PMM key performance indicators (KPIs) for display in PMM dashboards. There are many predefined KPIs, or you can create your own PMM definitions.
