PMM Definition |
Note: This screen displays only if you are licensed for the Performance Measures and Metrics module.
The PMM Definition screen lists the key performance indicator (KPI) definitions that comprise each performance measure and metric (PMM) ID that you want to track. To capture PMM data through MAXQueue, you need to use this screen to activate the PMM snapshot definitions you want to use. You can take snapshots of data at specified intervals and then report the data or create dashboard-type monitors (the latter only applies if you use FASuite Web Modules).
Tip: Filter on the KPI definition without the FAPMM prefix. For example, for the KPI definition FAPMM_ASSET_PER_USAGE_EPRLOC_EQTYP, filter on ASSET_PER_USAGE_EPRLOC_EQTYP. It is easiest to copy and paste the definition from the Expression field on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Performance Measures and Metrics -> KPI Definitions screen.
PMM ID
Identifier of the performance measure, which is a building block for a KPI expression. This field has a list box of active PMMs.
Name
Name of the performance measure.
Active
If this field has a check, the performance measure is active. A PMM definition must activated before you can track it.
Description
Text description of the measure.
Refreshable
If this field has a check, the performance measure has historical values that enable you to retroactively build history for the item using the pmmdefs.exe program. If this field is blank, historical values cannot be built.
Snapshot frequency
Indicates the frequency (e.g., daily, monthly) with which the PMM drills down. Most PMMs are set to monthly (M). Setting the snapshot frequency to daily (D) writes a much greater volume of data to the database and requires MAXQueue to write daily records to the table. Display only; this value is set in the table.
Number of data points
The number of rows that have been written to the database as a result of this measurement.
Note: This field populates only after the PMM definition has been activated and records written to the PMM_DATA table, either through pmmdefs.exe for history or through MAXQueue on an ongoing basis.
