Class PM Service Pattern (Equipment Class-Primary Information) |
The Class PM Service Pattern tab enables you to display and define, for each equipment class, a repeating sequence of preventive maintenance (PM) services to perform on equipment units that the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen assigns to a PM program type of CLASS. To do this, you specify both a time interval between performances of the services and the consecutive order of services. A class PM program cycle may have any number of slots.
Note: The information on this tab displays on the Class PM Program tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen. If you specify meter usage or fuel consumption overrides on the Meter Info tab, they may take precedence over the time interval defined on this screen. To specify different overrides for specific equipment units, use the Class PM Program tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
A PM-service pattern (for example, an A service every 6 months, a B service every 12 months, and a C service every 24 months) can include up to 26 different services (A to Z). For examples of class PM-service patterns, refer to the Setup Guide.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Equipment class ID
Identifier of the equipment class currently selected in the grid. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field has a list box. The class name displays to the right of the ID.
The fields in the bottom section of this tab define the class PM-service patterns for the equipment class. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
PM services in one cycle
If there is no PM program for this equipment class, this field should contain a zero (0). Otherwise, it is the number of PM service intervals to elapse before the pattern repeats from the beginning.
Note: An error message displays if the number of PM services in one cycle is not the same as the number of rows in the cycle, including blank rows.
PM service interval every
This field consists of two parts. The first part is the number of days, weeks, or months that ONE time interval (filled or empty) represents. The second part has a list box.
MONTHS: Service intervals are measured in months.
WEEKS: Service intervals are measured in weeks.
DAYS: Service intervals are measured in days.
To set up irregular intervals between the services, select a time interval that represents the smallest interval between any two services and that is also small enough so that all time intervals are integral multiples of it.
The following fields specify the time intervals between each PM service that the PM/Inspection Detail tab assigns to the class. These time intervals create the class' service pattern. The system examines these fields to determine the next PM due date for equipment units in the class. (If the Meter Info tab or the Class PM tab on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen defines meter or fuel PM overrides, the equipment unit may become due for a PM because of accumulated meter usage or fuel consumption, rather than the time period specified here by the class's PM service pattern.)
Slot no
Each slot number is a time interval for PM, controlled by the PM service interval every field. The time intervals between slots determine the service pattern. This field is display only.
Blank slot
If this field has a check, the row has been left blank intentionally. You can use blank rows to increase the PM service interval.
PM service
Task identifier of the preventive maintenance service. This field has a list box. Task IDs are defined as PM services on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen.
Description
Description of the PM service. Display only from Basic Info tab on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen.
